History
The fortification covers an area of more than 12 hectares; it consists of a set of buried fortified elements which were intended to cover each other mutually: the large casemates of Margut, Moiry, Sainte-Marie and Sapogne; the work of Chesnois; block I of Ferté; block II of Ferté. A network of barbed wire and anti-tank rails covered the whole.
