Kuvaus
Björkholmin entinen luotsiasema on Suomenlahden parhaiten rakennusajankohtansa asussa säilynyt luotsivartiotupa.
Vuonna 1899 rakennettu Björkholmin luotsiasema sijaitsee Porvooseen johtavan kapean väylän varrella luonnonkauniilla saarella. Luotsiasemassa on rikkaasti jäsennöity, nikkarityylinen julkisivulaudoitus ja erikoinen taitekatto. Alkuperäisessä asussa olevat sisätilat käsittävät pienen tuvan ja kamarin. Myös osa kiinteästä sisustuksesta on säilynyt käyttöajan asussaan. Vanhaan rakennuskantaan kuuluu lisäksi vuonna 1899 rakennettu purjevaja ja vanha laituri.
Historia
Vuodesta 1857 lähtien Porvoon luotsiasema sijaitsi Svinön (Sikosaari) saarella kaupungin edustalla. Vuonna 1899 toiminta siirrettiin Björkholmille, jonne rakennettiin luotsiasema, purjevaja, käymälä ja laituri. Vuonna 1920 kohteesta käytettiin nimitystä Porvoon luotsiasema. Myöhemmin alueen luotsit siirtyivät Emäsaloon.
Beskrivning (på svenska)
The agency's own Swedish text. The English below is made from the Finnish.

Description
The former Björkholm pilot station is the pilot watch-house on the Suomenlahti best preserved in the form of its construction period.
Built in 1899, the Björkholm pilot station lies on a naturally beautiful island along the narrow fairway leading to Porvoo. The pilot station has richly articulated nikkari-style boarded façades and an unusual mansard roof. The interiors in their original form comprise a small tupa and a kamari. Part of the fixed interior fittings has also survived in its period-of-use form. The older building stock also includes a sail boathouse built in 1899 and an old jetty.
History
From 1857 onwards the Porvoo pilot station was located on the island of Svinö (Sikosaari), off the town. In 1899 operations were moved to Björkholm, where a pilot station, sail boathouse, privy and jetty were built. In 1920 the site was called the Porvoo pilot station. Later the area's pilots moved to Emäsalo.
