Tessvärin talouskeskus on Ulkoluodon saaren kapeimmalla kohdalla sijaitsevalla etelä-pohjoissuuntaisella harjanteella. Tessvär on harvoja entisen Särkisalon pitäjän kantatiloja, joihin liittyy säätyläisomistusta. Päärakennuksessa, joka on rakennettu viimeistään 1800-luvun alussa, on tehty muutoksia 1921. Tuolloin alkuperäinen satulakatto on muutettu mansardikatoksi. Mellantessvärin kaksikerroksinen, kookas empiretyylinen päärakennus on 1850-luvulta. Talousrakennuksiin kuuluu komea kivinavetta, johon on merkitty vuosiluku 1878.

Kartanon ympäristö on puistomainen. Kartanoa ympäröineet pellot on myöhemmin metsitetty. Tessvärin talouskeskukselta on aiemmin johtanut tie itäiselle merenlahdelle, jota on käytetty liikennöintiin.

Tessvär on saaristoon 1200-luvun lopulta lähtien muodostunutta uudisasutusta. Attu Oy:n omistuksessa.

The farmstead of Tessvär manor is a handsome manor environment from the 19th century, well preserved in its entirety, in archipelago conditions. Tessvär manor is one of the manors located along the waterway leading to Halikonlahti and Perniönjoki. The Halikonlahti area has been an old core area of settlement, transport and trade since the Iron Age, and also one of the most important concentrations of manors in our country.

The Tessvär farmstead is located on a north-south ridge at the narrowest point of the island of Ulkoluoto. Tessvär is one of the few kantatila of the former Särkisalo parish that were associated with noble ownership. The main building, built at the latest at the beginning of the 19th century, was altered in 1921. At that time the original gable roof was changed to a mansard roof. The two-storey, large Empire-style main building of Mellantessvär dates from the 1850s. The farm buildings include a fine stone cowshed bearing the date 1878. Near it stand two large log granary storehouses (aitta) and other log-built farm buildings.

The manor environment is park-like. The fields surrounding the manor were later afforested. A road formerly led from the Tessvär farmstead to the eastern bay, which was used for transport.

Tessvär is a new settlement that has formed in the archipelago since the end of the 13th century. Tessvär, which belonged to the parish of Perniö, was first mentioned in 1475, and in 1540 it was recorded in the land register as a two-farm holding. The manor was formed in the 1580s from these two farms. They were combined into one holding in 1701. The manor was revoked in the Great Reduction in 1683 and formed into a cavalry holding in 1753. At the time of the Great Partition, the manor had nine crofts, and at most there were more than ten crofts. In the mid-19th century, Tessvär served as a summer resort. It has been owned by, among others, Attu Oy.
