Tampin kartanon päärakennus maantien varressa, kirkonkylään johtavan tien risteyksessä on 1880-luvulta. Vuoraus on koristeltu poikkeuksellisen runsain koristeleikkauksin. Päärakennusta ympäröi puisto kiviterasseineen. Kylänpään rusthollin aumakattoinen päärakennus kylän eteläpäässä on rungoltaan 1700-luvun lopulta, nykyasun ollessa 1830- ja 1890-luvuilta.

Hyvin rakennusaikansa asussa säilyneet 1900-luvun alun ja jälleenrakennuskauden koulut sekä aumakattoinen seuratalo Jukola 1920-luvulta sijoittuvat näkyvästi maantien varteen. Ajallista kerrostuneisuutta maisemaan tuo siirtoväen asutus peltoaukeiden reunoilla.

Maisemallisesti näkyvällä paikalla oleva Kyläjonnin kaksikerroksinen, aumakattoinen päärakennus on 1800-luvun alkupuolelta.

Prestbackan kartanomäki alueen pohjoisosassa muodostaa laajan, tasaisen viljelyaukean keskellä tiiviin, maisemallisesti hallitsevan rakennusryhmän. Empiretyylinen yksikerroksinen aumakattoinen entinen päärakennus on tiettävästi 1840-luvulta. Rakennuksen ulkoasu ja empiren ajalle tyypilliset sisätilat ovat säilyneet poikkeuksellisen hyvin. Itäinen siipirakennus on nykyisin tilan päärakennuksena. Hyvin säilyneeseen kartanokokonaisuuteen kuuluvat lisäksi kivinavetta (1856), hirsi- ja tiilirakenteisia talousrakennuksia, laaja puisto ja vanha koivukuja.

Särkijärven kylä muodostui Kylänpäänjärven ja Tiiläänjärven väliselle moreeniselänteiden rajaamalle alueelle Porvoosta Myrskylään johtavan tien varrelle keskiajalla. 1500-luvulla kyläasutus sijaitsi todennäköisesti Prestbackan kartanon ja Anttilan tilan tienoilla. Kylän nykyiset kantatalojen paikat ovat pääosin peräisin 1700-luvulta.

Kylänpää on entinen Byändan ratsutila, johon liitettiin 1600-luvun puolivälissä Tallbackan tila.

Vanhan puukoulun viereen valmistunut uusi rapattu koulurakennus otettiin käyttöön 1952.

Nuorisoseurantalo Jukola aloitti toimintansa 1927.

The Särkijärvi manor and village landscape is typical in its structure and building stock and well preserved. It is a settlement concentrated along an old main road leading from the Uusimaa coast into the interior. The cultivated landscape, which dates back to the period before the 18th century, is characterised by village settlement along the historic road line with its home farms, schools and community halls, the farmyards of the manors with their tree-lined avenues, parks and gardens, and fields that have been under cultivation for centuries.

The settlement is situated in a strip alongside the road that circles the lake, and on the wooded hillocks and slopes among the open fields. Large stone and brick cowsheds of various ages also reflect prosperous rural building.

The main building of Tampi manor, beside the main road at the junction with the road to the church village, dates from the 1880s. The cladding is decorated with exceptionally rich ornamental fretwork. The main building is surrounded by a park with stone terraces. The hipped-roof main building of the Kylänpää rustholli at the southern end of the village dates in its frame from the late 18th century, its present appearance from the 1830s and 1890s.

The schools from the early 20th century and the reconstruction period, well preserved in their original appearance, as well as the hipped-roof community hall Jukola dating from the 1920s, are prominently located beside the main road. Settlement of evacuees along the edges of the open fields adds layers of time to the landscape.

The two-storey, hipped-roof main building of Kyläjonni, in a visually prominent location, dates from the first half of the 19th century.

The Prestbacka manor hill in the northern part of the area forms a compact, visually dominant group of buildings in the middle of a broad, flat cultivated clearing. The former main building, in the Empire style, is single-storey and hipped-roof and, as far as is known, dates from the 1840s. The exterior and the interiors typical of the Empire period have survived exceptionally well. The eastern wing building now serves as the farm's main building. The well-preserved manor complex also includes a stone cowshed (1856), log and brick outbuildings, an extensive park and an old birch avenue.

Särkijärvi village took shape in the Middle Ages on an area bounded by moraine ridges between the lakes Kylänpäänjärvi and Tiiläänjärvi, along the road leading from Porvoo to Myrskylä. In the 16th century the village settlement was probably located around the Prestbacka manor and the Anttila farm. The present sites of the village's home farms mostly date from the 18th century.

Kylänpää is a former Byända ratsutila, to which the Tallbacka farm was added in the mid-17th century. The Tampi (Dampbacka) farm enjoyed säterivapautta from 1661, which was revoked in the Great Reduction of 1683, and from it a ratsutila was formed. The Prestbacka manor is also a former ratsutila, which was bought as an inheritance in 1804. In the first half of the 20th century, all the large farms in the area had 300-800 ha of land, of which approx. 100-200 ha was arable. A brick factory has also operated on the Prestbacka lands.

The influence and prosperity of the large farms of the Särkijärvi-Tiilää area is reflected, among other things, in the rich 17th-century interior of Askola church.

The school in Särkijärvi village was founded by Johan Selim Holmberg, assessor of the Court of Appeal and owner of Tampi manor. The school began operating in autumn 1883. The school received a new building in 1909. After the Second World War, large pupil numbers and lack of space led to a building project for a new school. The new rendered school building, completed next to the old wooden school, was brought into use in 1952.

The youth community hall Jukola began operating in 1927.
