Kuvaus
Asuintaloon johtaa yksirivinen lehmuskujanne. Alueen suuri puisto omenatarhoineen on maisema-arkkitehti Paul Olssonin 1948 suunnittelema. Puisto ja hoidettu niitty rajautuvat laakson kuusimetsään.
Historia
Mäntän patruuna, vuorineuvos Gösta Serlachius oli metsäteollisuudessa toimivan sukuyhtiön G.A. Serlachius Ab:n toimitusjohtajana 1913-1942. Serlachiuksella oli suuri vaikutus Mäntän teollisuustaajaman rakentamisessa.
Huhkojärvellä vierailivat 1880-luvulla mm. kuvataiteilijat Louis Sparre ja Akseli Gallen-Kallella, jotka kuvasivat maalauksissaan Huhkojärven maisemia.

Description
All the buildings of Huhkojärvi farm, built by Vuorineuvos Göstä Serlachius on his forest plot, are small works of art crafted by hand from natural materials and decorated with various details. Together they form an architecturally and structurally interesting overall environment that departs from traditional farm construction, a kind of erämaa-ateljee. The farmyards are notable in terms of building history and, together with the surrounding park, form a large landscape area.
The farm consists of two farmyards. The buildings of the actual residential yard are a log residential house, a natural stone sauna, a turf-roofed mangle building, a two-storey luhtiaitta, a privy and a log henhouse, all from the 1930s. Features of National Romantic and ancient Scandinavian style can be seen in the building stock.
In the farm-operations yard there is the former main building of Kangaspää farm from the 1850s and a large natural stone cowshed (1933), whose outer walls are decorated with miniature sculptures on farm themes. The yard also contains two grain granaries from the 19th century, a natural stone grain storehouse from 1937, a type otherwise rare in Keski-Suomi, and the farm manager's residence with its outbuildings.
An impressive road bordered by a spruce hedge leads to Huhkojärvi farm, where a gate built of stone and log marks the arrival at the yard area. A single-row lime avenue leads to the residential house. The large park with its apple orchards was designed in 1948 by landscape architect Paul Olsson. The park and the managed meadow border the spruce forest of the valley.
History
Vuorineuvos Göstä Serlachius built, in the 1920s and 1930s, on the forest plot of the Huhkojärvi farm in Jämsänkoski, which had been formed gradually by combining old crofts. The forest holding thus created was named after the nearby Huhkojärvi. Alongside Serlachius, the key person in building the area was the Saarijärvi-born artist and sculptor Hannes Autere, who designed, built and also furnished buildings together with the vuorineuvos. In building the farm centre, old crofter buildings from the early 19th century and the 1850s were put to use, and the ensemble was supplemented with timber construction reflecting farm building of the 1920s and 1930s, purpose-built to suit the milieu.
Mänttä patron, vuorineuvos Gösta Serlachius was managing director from 1913 to 1942 of the family company G.A. Serlachius Ab, which operated in the forest industry. Serlachius had a great influence on the building of the industrial settlement of Mänttä.
In the 1880s, the visual artists Louis Sparre and Akseli Gallen-Kallela, among others, visited Huhkojärvi, and in their paintings they depicted the landscapes of Huhkojärvi.
