The Finnish Heritage Agency's description

Sääksjärven rautatiepysäkki Lempäälässä on harvinaisen V luokan pysäkkityypin edustaja 1910-luvun alusta.

Rakennuksen pohjoispuolelle odotushuoneeksi rakennettu matalampi kylkiäinen valmistui 1928. Makasiinirakennus valmistui 1941.

Pysäkin käytön päättymisen jälkeen ratapiha on muuttunut maansiirtotöiden ja ratojen purkamisen seurauksena. Tavaramakasiinin edessä on säilynyt pieni osa asemalaiturin kivimuuria. Varsinainen käytössä oleva ratalinja on siirtynyt lännemmäksi.

Hämeenlinna-Turku-Tampere -radasta tehtiin päätös valtiopäivillä 1872. Valmis rata vihittiin käyttöön 1876. Sääksjärven pysäkki perustettiin 1916 ja korotettiin toiminnan lisääntyessä asemaksi 1930-luvulla. Toimiston, akkuhuoneen, relehuoneen ja eteisen käsittänyt jugendhenkinen pysäkkirakennus sai 1920-luvulla päätyynsä pienen klassistisen odotussalin.

Aseman tavaraliikenne oli vilkasta; puutavaraa vedettiin talvisin aseman lanssille. Sääksjärvi pysyi sotien aikana vilkkaana asemapaikkana, kun 1930-luvulla perustetusta Vuoresvuoren asevarikosta kuljetettiin ammuksia samoin kuin raaka-ainelasteja. Puutavarasta oli suuri osa polttopuiksi tarkoitettuja halkoja. Sotien jälkeen aseman merkitys tavarankuljetuksessa väheni. Tampereelle suuntautuvan työmatkaliikenteen kannalta pysäkillä oli suuri merkitys ennen yksityisautoilun yleistymistä. Henkilöliikenne päättyi Sääksjärven pysäkillä 1980-luvulla.

Sääksjärvi railway halt in Lempäälä is a representative of the rare Class V halt type from the early 1910s.

A lower side annex built on the north side of the building as a waiting room was completed in 1928. The storehouse building was completed in 1941.

After the halt ceased to be used, the railway yard has changed as a result of earthworks and the dismantling of tracks. In front of the goods storehouse, a small part of the station platform's stone wall has survived. The line actually in use has moved further west.

A decision on the Hämeenlinna-Turku-Tampere railway was made at the Diet in 1872. The completed line was opened for use in 1876. Sääksjärvi halt was founded in 1916 and was upgraded to a station in the 1930s as activity increased. The halt building, in the Jugend style, comprising an office, battery room, relay room and vestibule, received a small classicist waiting room at one end in the 1920s.

Goods traffic at the station was lively; timber was hauled in winter to the station's lanssi. Sääksjärvi remained a busy station during the wars, when ammunition as well as raw material loads were transported from the Vuoresvuori arms depot, founded in the 1930s. A large part of the timber consisted of logs intended as firewood. After the wars, the station's importance in freight transport declined. For commuter traffic towards Tampere, the halt was of great importance before private car use became common. Passenger traffic ended at Sääksjärvi halt in the 1980s.
