The Finnish Heritage Agency's description

Nuhjalan kartano kuuluu Mynälahden suureen kartanokeskittymään ja on erinomainen esimerkki pienehkön 1700-luvun kartanon rakentamistavasta ja kulttuuriympäristöstä. Arkkitehtuurihistoriallisesti merkittävän kartanon päärakennuksen on suunnitellut Turun kaupungin muurarimestari C.F.

Rakennus on yksi Turun kaupungin muurarimestari C.F. Schröderin suunnittelemista rokokookartanoista, joiden arkkitehtoniset esikuvat, varsinkin huonejako on saatu Carl Wijnbladin mallikirjoista. Kartanon sisätiloissa on runsaasti rokokookauden kiinteää sisustusta 1930-luvulla tehdyistä muutoksista huolimatta.

Nuhjala kuului keskiajalla Turun tuomiokirkolle. 1500-luvulla kartano oli aatelisomistuksessa oleva rälssisäteri. Kartano sijaitsi Turusta Tukholmaan johtaneen vanha talvitien läheisyydessä.

Nuhjala manor belongs to the large manor cluster of Mynälahti and is an excellent example of the building method and cultural environment of a smaller 18th-century manor. The main building of the manor, which is architecturally significant, was designed by C.F. Schröder, master mason of the city of Turku.

The Nuhjala manor area, located at the mouth of Vehmassalmi, consists of the main building completed in 1764, the associated courtyard with wings built along its sides, an old garden on the sea-facing side of the façade, and the surrounding agrarian landscape with fields, roads and workers' dwellings.

The main building, a single-storey brick building with a mansard roof, is built into a slope so that the plinth section with its cellars forms a full storey on the garden side. The building is one of the rococo manors designed by C.F. Schröder, master mason of Turku, whose architectural models, especially the room layout, were taken from the pattern books of Carl Wijnblad. Despite changes made in the 1930s, the manor's interior contains abundant fixed interior decoration from the rococo period.

In the Middle Ages Nuhjala belonged to the cathedral of Turku. In the 1500s the manor was a noble-owned rälssisäteri. The manor was located near the old winter road leading from Turku to Tukholma.
