Heikkilän lähettyvillä Malisjoen rannassa on Kyösti Kallion pojan kuvanveistäjä Kalervo Kallion 1939-1940 rakennuttama Pajarin talo.

President Kyösti Kallio's family farm is essential to the assessment and interpretation of Kallio's life stages (farmer, landowner, throughout his adult life) and his life's work (the cause of the peasantry, statesman).

Heikkilä is the farmyard of the large estate once managed by President Kyösti Kallio. It includes a residential building from 1897, a väentupa (workers' quarters) and several outbuildings, as well as the Muhjala residential building with its granaries on the other side of the road. Heikkilä still serves as the economic centre of the farm, and its owner is related to the Kallio family.

Near Heikkilä, on the bank of Malisjoki, is the Pajari house, built in 1939-1940 by sculptor Kalervo Kallio, son of Kyösti Kallio. The house, built as a studio home, has a classicist-style open porch (avokuisti) and shutters. The interiors, with their furnishings and artworks, are in their original state.

Kyösti Kallio's family farm, Heikkilä-Mehtälä, was the largest farmhouse in Northern Finland. When Kallio gave up ownership in 1939, it had about 250 hectares of arable land, most of it cleared by him from bog. Improving the conditions for agriculture and rural life was a central idea running through Kallio's political career, both as an end in itself and as a means. Kallio was President of Finland from 1937-1940.

Kalervo Kallio was a prolific sculptor; among his works from 1962 is the statue of Kyösti Kallio near Parliament House (Eduskuntatalo). The main building of Pajari, designed by Kalervo Kallio, was also meant to be the retirement home of Kaisa and Kyösti Kallio, but after Kyösti Kallio's death only Kaisa Kallio had time to live in the house.
