Kuvaus
Venejärven ja Kurtakon välinen telatie on muistuma harvaanasutun, pitkään tiettömän Aapa-Lapin kulkureiteistä 1800-luvun lopulla ja 1900-luvun ensimmäisellä puoliskolla.
Suur-Teuravuoman suuren suoalueen seudulla sijaitsevia kyliä yhdistävä, soiden halki kulkeva noin 6 kilometriä pitkä telatie on vanha, kunnostettu pitkospuureitti.
Venejärvi on vanha eränautintajärvi, jonka rannoille on tullut pysyvää asutusta jo 1700-luvulla.
Venejärvi on valtakunnallisesti arvokasta maisema-aluetta.
Historia
Telatien kunnostushanke toteutettiin 2000-2003.

Description
The telatie between Venejärvi and Kurtakko is a reminder of the sparsely settled, long roadless routes of Aapa-Lapland at the end of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century.
The telatie, a boggy duckboard route of about 6 kilometres that crosses the mires and links the villages in the area of the large mire region of Suur-Teuravuoma, is an old, restored pitkospuureitti.
Parts of the original telatie, built in 1878, and of the route restored in the 1930s survive. The users of the telatie have included postal carriers and villagers travelling to meadow and berry-picking grounds and to fishing lakes. On the flood meadows of the Naamijoki river, from which hay has been harvested, some meadow cabins and hay barns dating from the early 19th century have survived.
The main villages on the duckboard route network are Kurtakko, Venejärvi and Teurajärvi. Venejärvi is an old game-hunting and fishing lake, on whose shores permanent settlement had already arrived in the 18th century.
Venejärvi is a landscape area of national significance.
History
An 11 km pitkospuureitti, or telatie, was built across the eastern part of the bog area between Kurtakko and Venejärvi in 1878, funded by the Russian Imperial Senate. The route was renovated 50 years later.
The telatie between Venejärvi and Kurtakko was in use from the end of the 19th century to the 1950s. The renovation project for the telatie was carried out in 2000-2003.
