The Finnish Heritage Agency's description

Puikkolan taloryhmä kuvastaa Kemijokivarren jokivarsiasutuksen ulkopuolelle 1700-luvun puolivälissä syntynyttä kyläasutusta. Puikkolan rakennuskanta on hyvin säilynyttä peräpohjalaista maaseuturakentamista 1800-luvulta.

Isokylän pohjoispuolella olevan Puikkolan talot on rakennettu mäenkumpareelle avoimeen maanviljelysmaisemaan. Puikkolassa on Pajarin, Rantaharjun ja Pekkalan pihapiirien muodostama ehjä kokonaisuus.

Toisen maailmansodan aikana tuhoutui noin 70 % Kemijärven alueen rakennuksista. Puikkolan hiemna pääkulkuväylistä sivussa sijainneen kylän rakennuskanta säästyi sodan tuhoilta.

Puikkolan tila perustettiin 1759. Puikkolan Pekkalan päärakennus rakennettiin 1893. Rakennus toimi kylän kouluna 1935-46. Pajarin päärakennus rakennettiin 1850-luvulla.

The Puikkola farm group reflects village settlement that arose in the mid-18th century outside the riverside settlement along the Kemijoki. The building stock of Puikkola is well-preserved peräpohjalainen rural building from the 19th century.

The Puikkola farms, north of Isokylä, are built on a hillock in an open agricultural landscape. Puikkola contains an intact ensemble formed by the yard groups of Pajari, Rantaharju and Pekkala.

During the Second World War about 70% of the buildings in the Kemijärvi area were destroyed. The building stock of the village of Puikkola, which was located slightly away from the main thoroughfares, survived the war's destruction.

The Puikkola holding was established in 1759. The main building of Puikkola's Pekkala farm was built in 1893. The building served as the village school in 1935-46. The main building of Pajari was built in the 1850s.
