Kuvaus
Peränkylä on ainutlaatuinen merenlahden vanha kylä, jonka maisemaan ja elinkeinorakenteeseen laajan merenlahden kuivattaminen 1900-luvulla on voimakkaasti vaikuttanut.
Luvianlahden rannoille syntyi keskiajalla useita kyliä. Kirkonkylän eli Hanninkylän eteläpuolella Peränkylässä ja Mikolassa asutus on keskittynyt kumpareisille saarekkeille, joiden kautta vanhan maantien luonteva linjaus kulkee.
Peränkylässä Vanha-Esko, Mäki-Esko ja Uusi-Seppä -nimisten maatilojen rakennukset kohoavat maamerkinomaisesti ympäröivästä viljelysmaisemasta. Tilojen päärakennukset ovat 1800-luvulta ja 1900-luvun alkupuolelta. Kylän ulkopuolella on Peränkylän vanhoihin kantataloihin kuuluva Saharin talo, joka isonjaon täydennyksen ja lahden kuivattamisen jälkeen 1930-luvulla on siirretty nykyiselle paikalleen.
Peränkylän länsipuolella on Mikolan Evastin ja Tienmutkan talojen ympäristöön muodostunut torppareiden ja mäkitupalaisten asuttama Mikolan mäki. Yhtenäisellä tavalla pienimuotoiset rakennukset ovat sijoittuneet kivikkoisille hakamaille kahden toisiaan risteävän tien varsille. Evastin ja Tienmutkan päärakennukset ovat 1800-luvulta.
Luvianlahti on kuivattu 1900-luvun alussa ja kylien käyttöön on syntynyt yli tuhat hehtaaria hyvää peltomaata. Poriin johtavan rantamaantien oikaistu linja jakaa Peränkylän rakennettua maisemaa.
Historia

Description
Peränkylä is a unique old village on a former bay, whose landscape and economic structure have been strongly influenced by the drainage of the extensive bay in the 20th century.
Several villages arose on the shores of Luvianlahti in the Middle Ages. South of the church village, i.e. Hanninkylä, settlement in Peränkylä and Mikola is concentrated on hillocky islets, through which the natural alignment of the old road runs.
In Peränkylä, the buildings of the farms named Vanha-Esko, Mäki-Esko and Uusi-Seppä rise like landmarks from the surrounding cultivated landscape. The main buildings of the farms date from the 19th century and the early 20th century. Outside the village is Sahari farm, one of the old parent farms of Peränkylä, which after the isonjako supplementary division and the drainage of the bay was moved to its present site in the 1930s.
West of Peränkylä is Mikola mäki, a hill settled by crofters and cottars, which formed around the Evasti and Tienmutka farms of Mikola. The small-scale buildings are arranged in a uniform manner on stony hakamaa along two intersecting roads. The main buildings of Evasti and Tienmutka date from the 19th century.
Luvianlahti was drained at the beginning of the 20th century, and over a thousand hectares of good arable land have been created for the use of the villages. The straightened alignment of the shore road leading to Pori divides the built landscape of Peränkylä.
History
Peränkylä and Mikola were settled in the late Middle Ages, when the fields now surrounding the villages were still part of the bay. In the 1560s there were three farms in Mikola and two in Peränkylä. As a result of land uplift, the shallowed Luvianlahti was drained for farmland in two stages, 1917-1923 and 1948-1954.
