Tuuloksen Pyhälle Birgitalle pyhitetyn kirkon vanhimman osan muodostaa sakaristo, jonka Sairialan herra Knut Posse rakennutti 1477–1485 välisenä aikana. Sakariston pohjoisseinään on upotettu kalkkikivestä muovattu Posse-suvun vaakuna. Sakaristoa kattaa kahdeksanjakoinen ristiholvi. Runkohuone ja asehuone on muurattu keskiajan lopulla. Kirkkosalia kattaa lautainen tynnyriholvi. Molemmat ulkopäädyt on koristeltu tiilimuurauksella. Koristeaiheena ovat nauhakomerosta kohoavat ristit sekä kulmatiilipinnat. Kirkon vieressä on kolminivelinen, sipulipäätteinen kellotapuli. Kirkkomaata ympäröi harmaakiviaita, johon liittyy hirsinen läpikäytävärakennus. Tapulin vieressä on kaksi hautakappelia.

Kirkkoa ympäröi avoimena säilynyt viljelymaisema, Sairialan/Kylänjoen rantaniityt ja viljelykset. Kantatilojen talouskeskuksia ympäröivät vuosisatoja viljelyksessä olleet pellot ja niiden ajalleen tyypillistä maaseuturakentamista edustava rakennuskanta on peräisin pääosin 1800- ja 1900-lukujen taitteesta. Sairialan vanha, autioitunut kylätontti on kirkon pohjoispuolella.

Umpeenkasvaneiden Ylisen ja Alisen Tuuloslammen väliselle niemelle rakennettu Toivoniemen kartano on vanhaa rälssiä, lisäksi sen historiaan liittyy kiinteästi taiteilija Hjalmar Munsterhjelm. Kaksikerroksinen päärakennus on rakennettu 1809-1810. Romanttinen, keskiaikaista linna-arkkitehtuuria jäljittelevä viljamakasiini on rakennettu 1800-luvun keskivaiheilla. Kartanoon kuuluu englantilaistyylinen puisto.

Juttilan asuttuna säilynyt vanha kylätontti sijaitsee Kylänjoen varrella. Kauppilan, Kylä-Tyrnin, Lehtolan ja Kaivolan tiloilla on vanhaa rakennuskantaa.

Toivaalan Suolijärven rannalla oleva vanha kylätontti on säilyttänyt tiiviin rakennustapansa. Kylässä Eerolan tilalla on säilynyt perinteistä rakennuskantaa. Osa kylän taloista on siirtynyt ylemmäksi, pellon laidalle.

Kylätien, entisen keskiaikaisen maantien, varrella on vanhaa, kirkonkylän aiempaan taloudelliseen toimintaan liittyvää rakennuskantaa, erikoisuutena mm. ajokalutuotantoon liittyviä verstaita. Tuuloksen seurakunnan hautausmaa on Sairialassa vanhan maantien varrella.

Kirkon luoteispuolella vanhasta maantiestä erkaneva toinen, pohjoiseen suuntautunut maantie raivattiin 1600-luvulla.

Juttilassa, Toivaalassa ja Sairialan kylissä oli yhteensä 19 taloa 1560-luvulla.
Juttilan kymmentaloisessa kylässä on lisäksi Toivoniemen säterikartano nykyisin umpeenkasvaneen Tuuloslammen rannalla.

Kirkon lisäksi alueen merkitystä korosti Sairialan kuninkaankartano. Kuninkaankartanot perustettiin 1530-luvulla veronkantouudistuksen yhteydessä voutikuntien keskuksiksi. Toisen puolen Sairialan säteriä osti tilattomien maanosto-osuuskunta.

Toivoniemen kartano on taidemaalari Hjalmar Munsterhjelm (1840-1905) synnyinkoti.

Tuuloksen myöhäiskeskiaikaisen kirkon sakariston päädyssä oleva Knut Possen vaakunakivi on muistona ajasta, jolloin Hämeen linnan mahtavin linnanpäällikkö oli Sairialan herrana. Kirkon tapuli rakennettiin 1780 ja läpikäytävä 1840.

The historical parish centre of Tuulos is formed by the village of Sairiala, which lies on the isthmus between Pyhäjärvi, Lehe and Suolijärvi, around the Kyläjoki/Sairijalanjoki. It is dominated by the late medieval stone church of Tuulos, with its Baroque bell tower and burial chapels, which stands by the medieval main road at the northwest end of Suolijärvi. The same landscape includes the village centres of Toivaala and Juttila, which have medieval origins, and the Toivoniemi säterikartano. Besides the historical settlement and fields, the long settlement history of the cultural landscape is shown by the waterside ancient fortresses of Laurinkallio and Linnakallio, the Iron Age cemetery of Toivonniemi and the helavalkeapaikka of Kaluvuori.

The oldest part of the church of Tuulos, which is dedicated to Pyhä Birgitta, is the sacristy, which Knut Posse, lord of Sairiala, had built between 1477 and 1485. The coat of arms of the Posse family, carved from limestone, is set into the north wall of the sacristy. The sacristy is covered by an eight-part cross vault. The nave and the asehuone were built of masonry at the end of the Middle Ages. The church hall is covered by a boarded barrel vault. Both outer gables are decorated with brickwork. The decorative motifs are crosses rising from nauhakomero bands and corner brick surfaces. Beside the church is a three-tiered bell tower with an onion-shaped cap. The churchyard is surrounded by a grey stone wall, to which a log passage building is attached. Beside the bell tower are two burial chapels.

The church is surrounded by an open cultivated landscape that has been preserved, including the shore meadows and fields of Sairiala/Kylänjoki. The farm centres of the kantatila farms are surrounded by fields that have been under cultivation for centuries. Their building stock, which is representative of the rural building typical of its time, dates mainly from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The old, abandoned village site of Sairiala lies north of the church.

Toivoniemi manor, built on the promontory between the overgrown Ylinen and Alinen Tuuloslampi lakes, is old rälssi land, and its history is also closely linked to the artist Hjalmar Munsterhjelm. The two-storey main building was built in 1809-1810. The Romantic grain storehouse, which imitates medieval castle architecture, was built in the mid-19th century. The manor includes an English-style park.

The old village site of Juttila, which has survived as a inhabited village, lies along the Kylänjoki. The Kauppila, Kylä-Tyrni, Lehtola and Kaivola farms have old building stock.

The old village site of Toivaala, on the shore of Suolijärvi, has retained its compact building pattern. In the village, the Eerola farm has preserved traditional building stock. Some of the village's houses have moved higher up, to the edge of a field.

Along the Kylätie, the former medieval main road, there is old building stock related to the earlier economic activity of the church village. A special feature is, among others, the workshops linked to ajokalu production. The Tuulos parish cemetery is in Sairiala, along the old main road.

The prehistory of the isthmus in Tuulos between Pyhäjärvi and the smaller Lehe and Suolijärvi is recorded by two hillforts and Iron Age cemeteries. In the Middle Ages, a road from Ylä-Satakunta crossed the area, and to the south it joined the Viipurintie at Ylinen in Syrjäntaankylä. A second road, branching from the old road north-west of the church and heading north, was cleared in the 17th century.

In the 1560s there were 19 farms in total in the villages of Juttila, Toivaala and Sairiala. The ten-farm village of Juttila also has Toivoniemi säterikartano, now on the shore of the overgrown Tuuloslampi.

Besides the church, the importance of the area was emphasised by the royal manor of Sairiala. The royal manors were established in the 1530s, in connection with the reform of tax collection, as centres of bailiwicks. The royal manors served as supply centres for the army and as state model farms. Other royal manors in Häme are Hollola manor and Mustiala manor in Tammela. In the early 20th century, half of the Sairiala säteri was merged with one part of the former Eerola ratsutila. The other half of the Sairiala säteri was bought by a land-acquisition cooperative of landless people.

Toivoniemi manor is the birthplace of the painter Hjalmar Munsterhjelm (1840-1905).

The Knut Posse coat-of-arms stone on the gable of the sacristy of the late medieval church of Tuulos is a memento of the time when the most powerful castellan of Hämeen linna was lord of Sairiala. The bell tower was built in 1780 and the passage in 1840.
