The Finnish Heritage Agency's description

Pukkilan kartano on tyypillinen 1700-luvun herraskartano ja yksi Suuren Rantatien varrelle keskittyneistä kartanoista. Pukkilaan 1960-luvulla tehty restaurointi kertoo ajankohdan restaurointiperiaatteista ja pihapiirin toteutus hyödyn ajan ryytimaankorttelistosta.

Pukkilan pihapiiriin kuuluu 1760-luvulta peräisin oleva puinen päärakennus, jonka siipirakennuksina ovat vanha mahdollisesti 1600-luvulta peräisin oleva päärakennus ja aittarivi. Päärakennus on yksikerroksinen, mansardikattoinen ja volyymiltaan tyypillinen rokokookauden herraskartano. Sen suunnittelijana pidetään Turun kaupunginarkkitehti C.Fr. Schröderiä, joka puolestaan on suunnittelunsa tukena käyttänyt Carl Wijnbladin mallikirjojen tarjoamia esimerkkejä. Suuri 1900-luvun alussa rakennettu kivinavetta rajaa aluetta lännessä.

Kartanotalouteen liittyvä maanviljelysmaisema on kartanon rakennusryhmän ympäriltä huomattavasti kaventunut.

Useimmat huoneista restauroitiin uusklassilliseen tyylivaiheeseen. Alkuperäisestä rokokoointeriööristä on säilynyt joitakin fragmentaarisia osia. Kartanossa suoritetun restauroinnin jälkeen kartanomuseo oli auki yleisölle 1970-2012. Pukkilan kartano siirtyi valtion omistuksesta yksityiselle omistajalle 2017.

Pukkila manor is a typical 18th-century gentry manor and one of the manors concentrated along the Suuri Rantatie. The restoration carried out at Pukkila in the 1960s reflects the restoration principles of that time, and the layout of the courtyard reflects the utility-era kitchen-garden plot layout.

The Pukkila courtyard includes a wooden main building dating from the 1760s, whose wing buildings are an older main building, possibly from the 17th century, and a row of granaries. The main building is single-storey, mansard-roofed, and in volume a typical rococo-period gentry manor. Its designer is considered to be Turku town architect C.Fr. Schröder, who in turn used model examples from the pattern books of Carl Wijnblad to support his design. A large stone cowshed built at the beginning of the 20th century bounds the area to the west.

The agricultural landscape associated with the manor economy has narrowed considerably around the manor building group. The main approach to the manor has been cut by the railway, and access to the manor has been diverted via the rear. Fields have been zoned and a small-industry area built on them.

Pukkila was a medieval rälssisäteri and was divided into two parts until the 1720s. The present main building of Pukkila manor was completed at the beginning of the 1760s, during the period of ownership of governor Kristoffer Rappe. Pukkila was the country residence of a civil servant working in Turku.

The Muinaistieteellinen toimikunta restored and largely reconstructed both the exterior of the manor's main building and its fixed interior fittings in the 1960s. Most of the rooms were restored to the neoclassical stylistic phase. Some fragmentary parts of the original rococo interior have survived. After the restoration carried out at the manor, the manor museum was open to the public from 1970-2012. Pukkila manor passed from state ownership to a private owner in 2017.
