Kuvaus
Tunnetun kirkonrakentaja Matti Åkerblomin rakentama 1780-luvun ristikirkko, pappila sekä Teiskolan kartano talouskeskuksineen muodostavat pienimuotoisen, vesistöjen tarjoamien kulkuyhteyksien varaan rakentuneen kulttuurimaiseman kiinnekohdat.
Kirkossa oleva vanhempi saarnastuoli on 1600-luvulta. Kirkon vieressä on tanakka barokkitapuli sipulikupoleineen. Sen vieressä on Kuljun kylälle kuulunut hirsinen hautakappeli vuodelta 1825. Viime sotien sankarivainajille pystytetty, Kurun mustasta graniitista tehty ristiin päättyvä sankaripatsas on arkkitehti Bertel Strömmerin piirtämä 1951.
Kaksikerroksinen pappila, 1920-luvun klassismin piirteitä omaava kookas puurakennus sijaitsee kirkon länsipuolella Kirkkojärven Salonsaaressa, joka on muodostettu kannaksella niemeksi pappilan rakentamisen yhteydessä 1925. Teiskolansalmen yli johtavan holvatun kivisillan läheisyydessä on Teiskon edellisten kirkkojen paikalla Kirkkojärveen pistävällä Myllyniemellä muistokivi: "Teiskon kirkon paikka, 1621, 1669-1787. Jumalan nimi on vahva linna. Hic stetit templum primum Teiskoense. Salus a Deo nostro est sedente in throne et agno".
Historia
Teiskolan kylä mainittiin kirjallisissa lähteissä ensimmäisen kerran 1540. Messukylän kappeliksi 1636 perustettu Teiskon seurakunta itsenäistyi 1905 ja liitettiin 1972 Tampereen kaupunkiin.
Teiskon ensimmäinen kirkko sijaitsi aivan lähellä kartanon nykyistä paikkaa Myllyniemessä. Rakennusmestari Matti Åkerblomin johdolla rakennettu nykyinen kirkko valmistui 1788 ja kellotapuli 1798. Kirkon ikkunat saivat nykyisen mallinsa 1842 Erkki Kuorikosken johdolla tehdyssä korjauksessa. Kirkkoa uudistettiin arkkitehti Josef Stenbäckin laatiman suunnitelman mukaan 1906, jolloin välikatto ponttilaudoitettiin. Penkit ja alttarilaite valmistuivat myös tuohon aikaan. Kirkkoa kunnostettiin 1960-luvun alussa. Hautausmaa otettiin käyttöön 1787 ja kirkkomaan moneen otteeseen jatketun kivimuurin vanhin osa valmistui 1825.
Teiskolan kartano muodostettiin neljästä Wolmar von Slippenbachille lahjoitetusta tilasta 1680-luvulla. Säterivapautta kartano nautti 1663-1683, minkä jälkeen se ostettiin säteriratsutilaksi ja perinnöksi 1757. Teiskolan omistivat 1700-luvulla vapaaherra H.H. Boije ja asessori G. Ahlman, kumpikin Hatanpään kartanon isäntiä. Usein omistajaa vaihtanut kartano päätyi 1794 Tammelander-suvulle. Luutnantti Tammelander alkoi heti rakennuttaa tilalle uutta, kartanon nykyistä päärakennusta, jonka suunnitteli mahdollisesti turkulainen maanmittari J.G. Sacklén. Päärakennus valmistui vuosien 1806 ja 1810 välillä. 1918 lisätyn uuden keittiösiiven suunnitteli arkkitehti Birger Federley.
Teiskolansalmen ylittävää, 1894 valmistunutta kivisiltaa on levennetty betonikannella 1900-luvun jälkipuolella. Sillan kupeessa sijaitseva kartanon venekatos on 1800-luvun loppupuolelta ja pitäjänmakasiini vuodelta 1824.

Description
The 1780s cruciform church built by church builder Matti Åkerblom, the parsonage and Teiskola manor with its farm complex form the focal points of a small-scale cultural landscape that developed around the transport links provided by waterways.
The cultural landscape formed by the old villages of Teisko and Kovero includes, on the ridge of a hill by the shore of Kirkkojärvi, the wooden church with its bell tower; the parsonage on Salonsaari; and Teiskola manor, as well as the road line with its stone bridges, which follows the landscape. A densely built church village never developed at Teisko. The farms in the church district have been large.
The sisäviisteinen cruciform church of Teisko has a steep-pitched, hipped paanu roof and small vestibule buildings at the ends of the arms of the cross. The bright interior is vaulted, and the vault is joined by a flat intermediate-ceiling dome. The older pulpit in the church dates from the 17th century. Next to the church stands a sturdy Baroque bell tower with onion domes. Beside it is a log burial chapel from 1825 that belonged to the village of Kulju. The memorial to the fallen heroes of the last wars, a cross-topped monument made of black granite from Kuru, was designed by architect Bertel Strömmer and erected in 1951.
The two-storey parsonage, a large timber building with features of 1920s classicism, stands west of the church on Salonsaari in Kirkkojärvi, which was formed into a peninsula on an isthmus when the parsonage was built in 1925. Near the vaulted stone bridge that crosses Teiskolansalmi, on Myllyniemi, a headland jutting into Kirkkojärvi on the site of Teisko's earlier churches, stands a memorial stone: "Site of Teisko church, 1621, 1669-1787. The name of God is a strong castle. Hic stetit templum primum Teiskoense. Salus a Deo nostro est sedente in throne et agno".
The buildings of Teiskola manor on the headland north of Teiskolansalmi form a tight group. The two-storey main building "Harmaa" in the park dates from the first half of the 19th century, but its exterior dates from the end of the 19th century. The farm buildings and workers' dwellings from the second half of the 19th century form a separate group on the north side of the road.
History
Teisko village was first mentioned in written sources in 1540. Teisko parish, founded in 1636 as a chapel of Messukylä, became independent in 1905 and was incorporated into the city of Tampere in 1972.
Teisko's first church stood very close to the manor's present site at Myllyniemi. The present church, built under the direction of master builder Matti Åkerblom, was completed in 1788, and the bell tower in 1798. The church windows received their present form in 1842, in a repair carried out under Erkki Kuorikoski. The church was renovated in 1906 according to a plan drawn up by architect Josef Stenbäck, when the intermediate ceiling was tongue-and-groove boarded. The pews and altar fittings were also completed around this time. The church was restored in the early 1960s. The cemetery was brought into use in 1787, and the oldest section of the stone wall around the churchyard, which was extended several times, was completed in 1825.
Teiskola manor was formed in the 1680s from four farms donated to Wolmar von Slippenbach. The manor enjoyed säteri freedom from 1663 to 1683, after which it was bought in 1757 as a säteriratsutila and hereditary property. In the 18th century Teiskola was owned by Baron H.H. Boije and assessor G. Ahlman, both masters of Hatanpää manor. The manor, which changed owners often, passed to the Tammelander family in 1794. Lieutenant Tammelander immediately began building a new main building for the estate, the manor's present main building, which was possibly designed by the Turku land surveyor J.G. Sacklén. The main building was completed between 1806 and 1810. The new kitchen wing, added in 1918, was designed by architect Birger Federley.
The stone bridge across Teiskolansalmi, completed in 1894, was widened with a concrete deck in the latter half of the 20th century. The manor's boathouse beside the bridge dates from the late 19th century, and the parish storehouse from 1824.
