Reason for registration
it is the first luxury apartment building erected in Halifax and the only one of its kind in the city, and as far as is known in the Province, and because it is an important and integral part of the Victorian character associated with the Public Gardens, which are considered unique in North America. Note: Building was extensively renovated and reconstructed in the early 2000s.
